Getting Back into an Exercise Routine
After fighting a cold for a couple of weeks and not feeling very well, I’m finally starting to feel much better. I didn’t exercise much while I wasn’t feeling well, so I’m trying to get back on track this week. I enjoyed walking this morning but didn’t have my usual strength and energy. It was a beautiful morning and I enjoyed being out in the fresh air.

Staying Busy
We’ve been staying busy this summer. Last week my Dad came for a visit. The kids enjoyed having Grandpa here and had fun riding in his boat. Kevin and Taylor were at camp for the week and missed Nick’s birthday party but Nick was glad to have Grandpa here for his birthday. Kristi has been looking forward to camp all summer and finally has her turn this week.
Monday evening we had a picnic at the lake and enjoyed some time in the water. We’re enjoying our summer but it is going by quickly!

Winter Cometh
We’re enjoying nice warm sunny days right now but we know it won’t last forever. Winter will come around again. Kevin and the boys got a load of wood on Monday and Taylor and Kevin worked hard yesterday splitting wood.
Sleeping Bear Dunes
We enjoyed having Jim and Melony and their family with us over the weekend. Saturday we had fun on the dunes.

The views from the top of the dune are breathtaking.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch on our way there. Kristi is always glad to spend time with her girl cousins.

Lake Michigan
Yesterday we had some fun enjoying Lake Michigan.
It Was Fun While it Lasted
Our camping trip to Petoskey was cut short when a storm blew in and flooded our campsite in the late afternoon of our second day. We had fun until the rain came.
Taylor is good at setting up the tents.

We enjoyed walking around by the water and by the shops in beautiful Harbor Springs.

Community Cookout
We had a community cookout at our church yesterday. The weather was beautiful and thanks to the hard work of many wonderful people, everything was very nice.
The kids really enjoyed the bounce house. Josiah was so worn out from this and other fun stuff at the cookout, that he laid his head down on the table this morning while he was eating breakfast. He even admitted to being tired.

Face painting was a hit. Zack got a spider on his cheek.
