From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!

It’s just three more days until the first day of Fall. While I was walking this morning I noticed some Fall color on display already. We’ve been enjoying some beautiful September weather this week and the weather was great again this morning. I love summer and it passes so quickly but it’s hard to complain when it is replaced with the beauty of Fall.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
The forecast for today is sunny and 73. It was in the low 50′s when I walked this morning which made for a pleasant walk. Saturday Kristi, Josiah, Zachary and I went to the park and enjoyed a little hike on the trail. It looks like we have some nice weather in store this week. I enjoy the month of September in northern Michigan.

I took this picture this morning while I was out walking and thought it was neat how it looks like a reflection of a cross in the water. What a great reminder to reflect on the cross and the hope it brings. I am so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Yesterday afternoon Kristi and I went for a bike ride to the lake. The other kids were having their own fun outdoors too. They are usually anxious to get outside when their school work is done.

We started up school again yesterday. I’m enjoying getting back into a school routine with the kids. It’s been a lovely September day here. It’s sunny and 80 right now. Luke joined me for a walk this morning. It was a beautiful morning and the walk was a great way to start the day.

We walked the Mackinac Bridge yesterday. The weather was perfect. It was a beautiful day. We waited in line for over three hours to catch a bus to St. Ignace to begin our walk. The walking was easier than the waiting. On our way to Mackinaw City we were treated to an elk sighting. We saw a magnificent elk standing along the road.
