Kevin and I walked this morning in the rain. Since we weren’t getting a downpour, it was kind of nice to walk as the rain fell.

I took Luke, Kristi, Jacob, Nicholas, Zachary and Josiah to the lake yesterday. The kids enjoyed swimming and the playground.

Yesterday afternoon Kristi, Jacob, Nicholas, Zachary, Josiah and I went to Hartwick Pines and enjoyed hiking around on the trails. We sure enjoy living close to several nice state parks.

I was glad for a break from the rain this morning. It was great to have a dry day for my morning walk. I even saw a deer while I was walking. She was posing real nice with her baby fawn by her side. I didn’t get a very good picture but enjoyed seeing her on my walk. I didn’t even notice the fawn until I was looking at the pictures I took when I got home.

We had our first campfire of the season on Saturday evening.

We got quite a bit of rain yesterday afternoon which is good but it looks like today will be hot and sunny. It’s been nice having Kevin join me for my morning walks this week.

It was nice and warm when I walked this morning and there was lots of beauty to enjoy as I walked.

Kevin and I enjoyed walking in the fog this morning. It’s supposed to get quite warm today and we might have some severe thunderstorms headed our way.

Yesterday afternoon Kevin and the boys worked at splitting and stacking wood so Kevin treated the family to the DQ after supper. We stopped by the park and checked out the lake.
