Summer Walks

A couple of nights ago Nicholas and Josiah slept outside in hammocks. Nick was still in his when I went for my walk yesterday. It was a sunny and cloudless morning. This morning the sun was peeking through the clouds.

Breezy Morning

It was a little cool and breezy this morning but still nice for a walk.

Morning Bike Ride

Nicholas and I went for a bike ride this morning. It’s going to be hot today! It should be a good day to cool off in the lake.

Birthday Celebration for Nicholas

We celebrated Nick’s birthday a few days late since he was at camp on his birthday. An added bonus this year was having his Uncle Nathan, Aunt Jennifer and cousins here to celebrate with him.

Fun Day

Days don’t get much better than the one we enjoyed yesterday in Northern Michigan. Kevin and I started the day with a walk to the lake. It was a beautiful day for our trip to Fairview to take Zachary and Josiah for a ride on the Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad. We stopped for a picnic lunch on the way and when we returned home we headed to Higgins Lake for some swimming.

After the Rain

It rained hard and most of the day yesterday. I was glad for some dry weather on my walk this morning.

Sunday Afternoon Hike

Yesterday afternoon we hiked the trails to the park and then went to the park by the lake. It was a pleasant day for walking.

Summer Fun

Yesterday we went to the Art Festival and Craft Show in Roscommon. Zachary and Josiah got to ride on a small train and we enjoyed looking at the handiwork of a variety of artisans. Kevin and Nicholas grilled some meat for supper and Zachary and Josiah started a fire. The three guys were able to roast some marshmallows and make s’mores before we got a downpour of rain.
