Last Day of June

Morning Walk

The Ultimate Family Reunion

Yesterday I traveled with my two youngest sons, my oldest brother, Dad and step-mom to a family reunion in Indiana. It was a perfect day for a drive and I enjoyed seeing the beautiful, fertile farmland. We drove past the farm where my Dad was raised and stopped by the cemetary to visit the gravesite of my Grandpa and Grandma Worth. This morning I went for a walk back home in Mt. Pleasant. I visited the site of my Grandpa and Grandma Machuta’s graves. The comforting words, “so shall we be forever with the Lord,” were ringing in my ears. I’m looking forward to the day when I will meet up again with my mom, grandparents and other loved ones who knew the Lord. I noticed a gravestone this morning, “Be ye ready for behold I come quickly.” I’m ready for His return. I long for His return. Are you ready?

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

After missing my morning walk for three days in a row, it was nice to get one today.

Biking and Hiking

The guys wanted to get a bike ride in before it rained. I enjoyed a nice hike along the river while they were biking.
