Walking on the Frozen Lake

One of the fun things we enjoy in winter is walking on a frozen Higgins Lake. Jacob, Nicholas, Zachary, Josiah and I walked the lake this morning. The lake was bustling with activity. We saw snowmobiles, gators, 4-wheelers, trucks and lots of fishermen on the ice.

I can remember skating on the ice when I was in 5th grade at Sister Lakes near Dowagiac, MI long time ago….our house was right between the two lakes… we fish in the back yard and down the front steps and across the street to the other lake…. pretty neat memories.
