For, lo, the winter is past, …. I love this time of year! The snow is melting and the ice is starting to thaw on Higgins Lake. Friends who have been away for the winter are starting to return to our beautiful area. It’s been a long, cold winter which makes spring even sweeter. It was a beautiful morning for a walk. The sun is shining, the skies are blue and I don’t need to bundle up so much anymore. My boys have been enjoying some basketball outside now that our driveway is completely free of ice and snow. It beats shooting hoops in the garage which they resorted to this winter.
