A couple of different friends gave our children baskets filled with Easter goodies. Saturday before Easter we colored some eggs. An extra special treat for all of us was getting to see Taylor on Saturday and having Kevin and Angelee here for Easter. We have a tradition of hiding our Easter baskets, so on Sunday morning the kids were happy to find more goodies. I woke up to some beautiful flowers from Kristi. After church we enjoyed a brunch with our church family and a delicious spread of food. Sunday afternoon our family went for our traditional walk that we’ve enjoyed for several Easters. The weather was perfect and it was good to be out together in God’s beautiful creation.
All of the celebrating we enjoyed doesn’t even begin to compare to the celebrating we’ll enjoy in God’s presence for eternity because of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m so thankful for the hope I have because of Christ.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” ~ John 11:25-26 (ESV)
