Missed Opportunity

A few days ago, when I started my morning walk, the full moon I saw in the sky was just gorgeous. I went back in the house to grab the camera so I could take a picture of it. By that time some clouds were covering it and I had missed the chance to try to get a picture of the magnificent view. I had blown it. It was too late to try to capture what I had seen. It reminded me of the brevity of life and how fleeting our moments on this earth are. It was a reminder to me to make each day and each moment count for eternity. It’s my prayer that God will help me to use my time wisely and for His glory. It’s all too easy for me to miss opportunites and not use the days He gives me as well as I should.

Psalm 90:12 (ESV)

So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.

I missed getting a picture of the moon but the sunrise that morning was pretty too.

  1. Thanks for the timely reminder on the proper use of our time.

  2. I just thinking about that last night/this morning, Carolyn. Some of the search strings people use to get to my blog, like “dying person shedding tears when dying”, make me stop and think about the eternal hope we have and how important it is to live my life for God’s glory so that people can see the hope that is in Him.

    Nice picture! 🙂
    Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

  3. Really nice sunrise… Love you Carolyn…

You are such a sweet mom to those little guys that walk with you..

    Wish I was there… to take a stroll…

Of course you would leave me in the dust… Ha!

I am glad you are taking care of your health… you have a big job to do with all those kiddies.
