Yesterday we went to the Art Festival and Craft Show in Roscommon. Zachary and Josiah got to ride on a small train and we enjoyed looking at the handiwork of a variety of artisans. The weather was perfect today for a picnic lunch and some hiking around Hartwick Pines State Park. Josiah and I even played a game of checkers.
We had a great time celebrating the Fourth of July with our family. The weather was perfect for spending lots of time outdoors. We went to the parade in Roscommon in the morning, had lots of fun in the yard, grilled some burgers for supper and finished the day watching fireworks in Roscommon.
We enjoyed a campfire last night, made s’mores and set off some fireworks. It was a fun evening.
It was hot and humid yesterday afternoon so I thought I would do the boys a favor and take them to the lake. Unfortunately they all got swimmer’s itch. I put on suntan lotion and managed not to get any.
Late yesterday afternoon we went to the lake. The guys took our kayak along but forgot the paddle. I’m sure they’ll remember it next time. I finally swam for the first time this season.
