From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!
We finished a great week of camping at Clear Lake State Park yesterday. Aside from a little rain, the weather was great and we had lots of fun swimming, kayaking, hiking, biking and playing some disc golf. The best part was spending time with Kevin, Angelee, Adelaide, Taylor and Lydia.
One of my first camping trips as a little girl was to Sleeper State Park. I came across an old news clipping of my parents, my brother Tim and me about our camping trip to Sleeper State Park sometime in the late 1960s. I loved camping with my parents, brothers and sister and have enjoyed many wonderful camping trips with Kevin and our children. Last week Kevin and I camped at the same park with our sons, Nicholas, Zachary and Josiah. We had lots of fun and made some great memories. We enjoyed the water, scenery, biking, walking and campfires. My favorite part of camping at Sleeper was the joy of watching both sunrises and sunsets over the beautiful Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron located in Michigan’s thumb.
The caption under this photo reads – “The John Worth family of Quincy found Sleeper State Park a pleasant refuge from the busy windup of the school year at Quincy public schools where Mr. Worth is principal. Quincy is located close to the Indiana state line and the choice between Indiana’s state parks and those here in Michigan was a difficult one.”
We had a great time camping at Hog Island Point State Forest Campground. We had fun riding our bikes, swimming, hiking and the boys enjoyed kayaking to Hog Island. Our campsite was on northern Lake Michigan. We enjoyed the nice weather and the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
We had a great week of camping at Clear Lake State Park. We enjoyed spending time with Taylor,Lydia, Kevin, Angelee and Adelaide while we were there. Luke had some time off from Camp Barakel and got to camp with us.
We had lots of fun camping at Clear Lake State Park. Clear Lake is a beautiful lake like Higgins Lake but smaller. We enjoyed some swimming, kayaking, hiking, biking, campfires and visiting with Kevin and Angelee. The weather was gorgeous although we got some rain when we were packing up to go home.
