Luke, Jacob and I rode our bikes to North Higgins Lake State Park this afternoon. It’s been a beautiful April day.
There is a little bit of open water near the shore. I’m looking forward to all of the ice melting on the lake.
Hopefully the ice and snow will all be gone soon from the trail where I walk.
Spring is getting off to a slow start in Northern Michigan this year. Last year at this time the ice and snow had melted from the lake. Compare the pictures from last year on April 5 and this year on April 5.
We’ve seen lots of sunshine this week.
The sun is shining and the skies are blue. I’m looking forward to warmer temperatures and melting snow!
This morning as Kevin and I were driving to town to meet Kevin M. for his birthday breakfast, we watched the sunrise. It’s nice to see the sun today after the cloudy, snowy day we had yesterday.
